Aso to talk with Bush at APEC

WASHINGTON (Kyodo) U.S. President George W. Bush will meet Prime Minister Taro Aso in Lima on Saturday on the sidelines of the weekend summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, the White House said Wednesday.

It will be the first formal meeting between Bush and Aso, who became prime minister in late September.

Gordon Johndroe, spokesman for the White House's National Security Council, also said Bush will meet Chinese President Hu Jintao on Friday and South Korean President Lee Myung Bak on Saturday.
