With jockey Norihiro Yokoyama at the bridle, the 8-year-old Tenno-sho winner darted his way through the pack on the final stretch to cover the 1,600-meter grass surface in 1 minute, 33.2 seconds at Kyoto Racecourse. "He is a spectacular horse. Today his condition was great and he got a strong start. I led him inside the pack without any hesitation. I had a lot of confidence that we could win. I didn't worry about the other horses ahead of us," said Yokoyama. |
