Kumiko Ogura and partner Reiko Shiota defeated fellow Olympians Satoko Suetsuna and Miyuki Maeda 25-23, 21-19 Sunday to claim their fifth consecutive women's doubles title in their final match together at the badminton national championships. Ogura and Shiota have decided to part ways as they have different plans for their badminton careers, particularly when looking ahead to the 2012 London Olympics. They plan to play in the national championships with different partners from next year but have not ruled out teaming up in corporate league matches. |
