Thursday, Apr. 24, 2008 READERS IN COUNCIL
Beef-up basic contentBy AMI SHUKLA
Tokyo
I read your paper more closely today than I ever did in the last 14 years, but still could not notice anything "new" except the slight change in the font type and size of your headlines. So I am at a loss as to what the fuss was all about. Instead of resorting to cheap gimmicks like these, I would rather that you enhanced the basic content of your newspaper. As an example, all major newspapers of the world include a thick and colorful pull-out section for weekend reading. How many extra pages of reading does The Japan Times offer in its Sunday edition?
The opinions expressed in this letter to the editor are the writer's own and do not necessarily reflect the policies of The Japan Times.
