Fresh warrant over hostess slaying

Kyodo News

A 48-year-old Tokyo man was served a fresh arrest warrant Monday on suspicion of killing a Filipino woman whose body he also allegedly dismembered at an apartment in the Odaiba waterfront area, police said.

Hiroshi Nozaki has reportedly admitted to the charges.

He told the police he killed Honiefaith Ratilia Kamiosawa, 22, because she ignored his advances and that he dismembered her body out of a feeling of wanting to possess her, according to investigative sources.

Nozaki was arrested April 7 on suspicion of harming the woman's body after a part of it was found inside the apartment.

Based on Nozaki's confession, other body parts were found in a coin locker and a canal in Tokyo and in a septic tank of a lodge in Nasu, Tochigi Prefecture.

Prosecutors indicted him Monday on charges of harming and abandoning the body.

Nozaki allegedly strangled Kamiosawa and cut up her body in the 26th-floor unit of a high-rise condominium on April 3.

The unit was shared by Nozaki, Kamiosawa and two other Filipinos, all of whom worked in the same bar in the Roppongi entertainment district.
