October oil imports up 8% on year

Crude oil imports increased 8.3 percent in October from a year earlier to 128.88 million barrels for the first growth in two months, the Natural Resources and Energy Agency said Friday.

Imports from the Middle East accounted for 87.5 percent of the total, down 2.3 percentage points from a year before and the fifth consecutive monthly decline, the agency, a unit of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, said.
