The 47-year-old son of former NEC Corp. Chairman Tadahiro Sekimoto was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of embezzling about ¥56 million related to contracts for temporary staffing operations, police said. Masakazu Sekimoto, president of Tokyo-based IT Marketing Integrations Inc., is suspected of taking the money when he was an executive in the firm's engineer staffing affiliate, IT Marketing Solutions, between November 2005 and March 2006, police said. Sekimoto has admitted to the allegations, they said. The embezzled money was among ¥100 million paid to client companies that signed contracts with the affiliate, police said. |
